I am an RNA enthusiast and an incoming Assistant Professor at Brown University. My research is supported by NIH/NIGMS K99/R00 Award and American Heart Association Postdoctoral Fellowship. During my PhD training in Dr. Peter Walter's lab at UCSF, I discovered the molecular mechanism of the mRNA processing pathways in the ER unfolded protein response. As a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Robert Singer's lab at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, I am developing advanced imaging methods to study RNA localization. The goal of my lab is to uncover the spatial regulation of mRNAs during organelle biogenesis and quality control.
